Mission and Vision
Through Singing in healthcare settings, we bring the power of singing together to people living with brain-related challenges. We enable people to experience how their own voice can support their well-being, both physically and mentally. Our mission is to enhance well-being and quality of life by making the emotional, physical, and cognitive benefits of singing accessible within care.
By training singers and caregivers, we support the integration of singing as a natural and regular part of care practice. We work towards a future in which singing together is a recognized and integrated intervention, allowing us to approach people with a vulnerable brain with greater knowledge, awareness, and respect.
Vision
At Singing in Healthcare, we envision a world in which singing is an integral part of care, especially for people living with brain-related challenges. We see a future where the scientifically established benefits of singing are fully integrated into care practice, supporting connection, well-being, and resilience.
We make knowledge about the power of singing accessible to caregivers, professionals, and family members. Through our programs and training, we are building a community of practitioners who use skilled and compassionate singing to support quality of life.
In this way, we contribute to a culture of care that values emotional and mental well-being, and recognises the potential within every individual.
“I would be sad if I only entertained them.
I want to make them better.”
George Frideric Handel, composer
